Samsung launches India's first Windows Phone Mango device


Samsung Mobile has launched three new smartphones, the Windows Phone powered Omnia W, the Bada OS powered Wave 3, and the Android powered Galaxy Y.

The Omnia W will sport a 3.7-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1.4 GHz single core processor, a 5-megapixel camera with 720p recording capabilities and HSPA+ connectivity. Interestingly, the Omnia W becomes the first Windows Phone Mango handset to hit Indian shores. The device is priced at Rs 19,900.

Apart from the Omnia W, Samsung has also launched the Wave 3 which features a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1.4 GHz single core processor and will be powered by the latest version of Samsung's proprietary OS, Bada 2. The device will be available for Rs 19,600.

Samsung also launched a budget Android offering dubbed the Galaxy Y, which features a 832 MHz processor, a 3-inch display and will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The device will be available from Rs 7,830.

Previously, Samsung launched the Galaxy S2 which went on to become the fastest selling smartphone in the company's history.
